BUILDING TEST AUTOMATION FRAMEWORK WITH TEST JUNKIE & SELENIUM WEBDRIVER

In this tutorial we are building full fledged test automation framework with Python and Selenium WebDriver to test this very site. We will rely on many of the optimization options available through Test Junkie to optimize the tests for speed and quality. This tutorial will show advanced techniques as opposed to the more traditional methods that are being thought everywhere else.

• PART 1: creating wrapper for the browser management
  This tutorial focuses on a layer which will abstract browser controls from the standard WebDriver library and make it easy for us to manage our driver object and allow us to run tests in parallel. That way we can fully benefit from Test Junkie's powerful parallel test execution features.

• PART 2: creating wrapper for the ui elements
  In this tutorial we will create a wrapper so we can easily define ui objects when we build classes for our pages. Sense we will be using browser wrapper to create this wrapper, we will automatically inherit the support for parallel execution at the page object level.
  
  Audience: QA Difficulty: Easy Time: 10 min.
• PART 3: creating page objects
  Now its time to use the lower level wrappers to create our page objects that will represent the actual pages on this site. We will use this page objects in our tests.
  
  Audience: QA Difficulty: Medium Time: 60 min.
• PART 4: writing tests
  This part will show how to minimize code while maximising test coverage and maintainability by using Test Junkie's test optimization functionality.
  
  Audience: QA Difficulty: Easy Time: 30 min.
• PART 5: defining test rules
  To make sure we are not introducing any errors with new commits that we do not explicitly test for, we will create a rule that will check for JavaScript errors at the end of each test.
